Day 2

After breakfast, a beautiful safari day awaits you in the Arusha National park, very varied in terms of landscape.

The entire park is full of forms of life. You will come across buffalo herds (the most widespread species in the park), zebras, giraffes, warthogs, water antelopes, dik-dik and reedbucks.
Furthermore, in the area there are other mammals that are difficult to approach such as the aardvark, the potamocerus and the crested porcupine.

Only in this park you can see the black and white colobus, an endangered primate.
During the visit, you will take a naturalistic walk, accompanied by the Park-Guard, a truly fascinating experience.
Departure for the park early in the morning.
Lunch in a picnic area in the park.
Return to the lodge by h. 18:00.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Planet Lodge (or similar category).

Parco nazionale di Arusha

Day 3

Tarangire Park

After breakfast, you will visit the Tarangire National Park.
Here the sylvan savannah, dotted with majestic baobabs, many of which date back to over 2000 years ago, is home to the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania.
During the advanced dry season, the park is home to the highest density of wildlife on the continent and the observation of the animals is absolutely amazing.

Departure for the park early in the morning.
Lunch in a picnic area in the park.
Transfer to Karatu in the afternoon and arrival in the lodge by h. 18:00.
(Tarangire – Karatu transfer: about 1 hour and 30 minutes, by road)
Dinner and overnight stay at the Farm of Dreams Lodge (or similar category).

Tarangire Park Visit

Day 4

The Tribes of Lake Eyasi

After breakfast, you will visit Lake Eyasi, located to the south-east of the Ngorongoro highlands.
The surrounding region is home to a human group of extreme interest: they are the bushmen Hadzabe, the last heirs of a civilization that does not know agriculture, cattle breeding, pottery and metallurgy, the homines sapientes, which right here, along the Rift Valley, took their first steps around 200,000 years ago. They live by hunting with bow and arrows and from the collection of berries and spontaneous fruits.

Their lifestyle has remained unchanged for millennia, they live in small errant groups of about twenty individuals. Meeting them is a decidedly interesting experience.
It is possible to organize a hunt with them early in the morning and experience an archaic lifestyle for a few hours.
It is a true experience, not a fake one or a staging for tourism purposes.

In the region you can also find the Datoga, polygamous breeders originating from the Horn of Africa, who arrived in this region following the herds in search of pastures.
You will visit the village and the blacksmith’s workshop which produces everyday objects with ancient techniques like jewelry and arrowheads for the neighboring Hadzabe, who repay him with animal skins and wild honey.
A very small part of travelers on safari in Tanzania visit this region, but those who do it come back thrilled.
Departure for the park early in the morning.

Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon there is a possibility to take a walk to Karatu, accompanied by the guide, or (with supplement) it’s possible to visit the Iraq village near Karatu.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Farm of Dreams Lodge (or similar category).

Visita Lago Eyasi

Day 5

Visit to the enchanting Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the most famous safari destinations in the world, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978 and the International Biosphere Reserve in 1981.
You will enter the Ngorongoro crater, which is located at 2.2000 meters above sea level and is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa with around 30.000 large mammals living there all year round, such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos, and many varieties of birds, such as flamingos, eagles, buzzards, ostriches and hawks.

The permit for the photo safari inside the Crater has a max validity of 6 hours.
Departure for the park early in the morning. Lunch in the park.
After lunch, continuation of the photo Safari along the road that leads from the NCA to the Serengeti and arrival in the tented camp at about h. 18:00.
(NCA – Serengeti transfer: about 3 hours, on an unpaved route)
Dinner and overnight stay at the Serengeti Thorn Tree Tented Camp (or similar category).

Cratere Ngorongoro

Day 6

From Seronera to the Serengeti North

After breakfast, we’ll begin the photo safari heading towards the North area of the Serengeti National Park, to discover the extraordinary biggest migration phenomenon in the world.
Every year, about 2,5 million herbivores, mainly wildebeest and zebras, travel about 800km, searching for water and food.
During the dry season, they head North of the Serengeti, concentrating along the Mara river.
The Serengeti is the extraordinary place where legend meets reality, it represents the oldest and largest park in Tanzania, covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, so much that the name, of Masai origin, Siringet, means “Plain without borders”.

Departure for the park early in the morning and return to the tented camp by h. 18:00.
Lunch in a picnic area in the park.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Chaka Migration Camp, located near the Mara River (or similar category).

cuccioli leoni Serengeti

Day 7

The North Serengeti Park

After breakfast, we head towards the Mara River, following in the trail of the migration. You will be surrounded by an immense expanse of animals, and you will be able to see the spectacular passage along the ford of the Mara, a large river that the animals cross to continue the migration, where the enormous crocodiles that reside here await them.
You will also be able to see numerous families of hippos, other herbivores and predators, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, etc.

Departure for the park early in the morning and return to the tented camp by h. 18:00.
Lunch in a picnic area in the park.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Chaka Migration Camp, located near the Mara River (or similar category).

Serengeti Park

Day 8

From Serengeti to the Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will continue your discovery of the extraordinary Serengeti National Park.
The boundless grasslands are occasionally interrupted by bizarre granite formations, the kopjes, where large predators such as lions love to lie down or hide there waiting for the passage of a possible prey.

Along the rivers you can spot crocodiles, hippopotamuses and many other animals while they are drinking, but also leopards that often bask in the branches of the umbrella acacias present here.
Departure for the park early in the morning. Lunch in a picnic area in the park.
After lunch, the photo Safari continues along the road to exit the Serengeti, to then continue the transfer to Lake Natron. Arrival in the lodge towards h. 18:30
(Serengeti – Natron transfer: about 6 hours on unpaved route)
Dinner and overnight stay at the Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge (or similar category).

Grande Migrazione al Parco Serengeti

Day 9

Lake Natron

Today you will visit Lake Natron, with the nearby Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, the sacred ‘Mountain of God’ for the Masai, it’s a pristine, rugged and particularly fascinating place, which allows excursions outside the most touristic circuits, which can be visited from late June to early January.
It is an alkaline 60km long lake, located to the north-east of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, characterized by shades ranging from white to pink and brown, based on the periods of the year.

Even its size, like the color, varies a lot during the year and during the dry season its waters recede so much as to uncover large areas of land covered with a thick salt crust.
The excessive salinity of the lake implies the possibility of life for most of the animal species, with the exception of the pink flamingos, which nest here and live in immense flocks.
The visit will take place on foot, starting from the lake.
Afterwards, an excursion to the enchanting waterfalls, going up a stretch of river with fresh and pure waters, with the possibility of taking a pleasant swim under the falls (it is advisable to wear rock climbing shoes and costumes – parts of the route are along the rocks).
Departure for the visit early in the morning.

Lunch at the lodge in the park.
Transfer to Mto Wa Mbu in the afternoon and arrival at the lodge by h. 18:00.
(Natron – Mto Wa Mbu transfer: about 3 hours, on a dirt path)
Dinner and overnight stay at the Manyara Wild Life Safari Camp (or similar category).

Visita Lago Natron

Day 10

Lake Manyara National Park and visit of Mto wa mbu

After breakfast, you will visit the Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Tanzanian parks with the highest biodiversity, with five different ecosystems.
The park is inhabited by over 380 types of birds and many animal species including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many others.

Departure for the park early in the morning.
Lunch in an area equipped for lunch in the park.
Following, visit on foot or by bicycle of the village and plantations of Mto wa mbu.
Transfer to Arusha and arrival in the lodge by h. 18:00.
(Manyara – Arusha transfer: 2 hours, by road).

Manyara Lake

Day 11

Trekking in the Kilimanjaro Park

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Kilimanjaro National Park, founded in 1997 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. It owes its fame, of course, to the spectacular Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, as well as being one of the highest volcanoes in the world, with the summit covered by a perennial glacier. The main entrance to the park is the Marangu Gate, which is located at an altitude of 1870 m. and it is the lowest part of the plateau, which can be reached by jeep and offers beautiful views of the Great Rift valley with Mount Meru.

You will carry out a trekking of about 3 hours, accompanied by the Park-Guard, visiting the feet of the “Roof of Africa”, and you will be able to reach Mandara Hut at about 2,720m (about 900m in altitude), where there is a lush rainforest dominated by tall trees, which is home to various animals, such as buffaloes, baboons, velvet monkeys and alpine antelopes, and numerous birds, including the starling of abbots, very rare outside this area.

Picnic in the park.
Trekking back to the starting point of about 2 hours, 30 minutes.
Transfer to Moshi in the afternoon. Arrival in the lodge by h. 18:00.
(Kilimanjaro Park- Moshi transfer: about 1 hour and 30 minutes, by road)
Dinner and overnight stay at the Wonder Kilimanjaro Lodge (or similar category).

Visita Parco del Kilimangiaro

Day 12

Trip in the area of Moshi and Transfer to the airport

Even the last day of safari will be organized at its best and, after breakfast, you will head to the Moshi area, where you can visit the Materuni waterfalls and the Chaga Village after a beautiful scenic walk.

Typical local lunch.
View of the Kilimanjaro (if the weather allows us), from a panoramic area.

Amazing private tour with excellent guide Hasheem What an amazing 9 day safari from start to finish. We met at the airport by their driver and driven to our first lodge in Arusha. In the morning we met our fabulous English speaking guide, the lovely gentleman Hasheem! What a guide, what a place, what wonderful places to stay, what sights, what animals, what amazing experiences! Our whole trip was exceptional. Honestly not one negative. Our safari experience definitely exceeded our expectations. Saw all the African big 5, our guide knew where to look how???🤔 Sleeping in the tented camp in Serengeti was an experience in itself. Listening to the animals through the night, and seeing them in the evening and morning . . Wonderful! We would so recommend this company for its attention to detail, great communication through the booking process.

Incredible 5 day private safari for honeymoon We had the most incredible 5-day private safari with Safari Avventura and honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. We visited Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, and it was the perfect honeymoon experience. From the very beginning, everything was so well organised, including airport pick-up and drop-off, which made the whole trip completely stress-free. Being a private safari also meant everything could be personalised around what we wanted, and Safari Avventura went above and beyond to make the experience special for us. Our guide, Ahmed, was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge was incredible — not only of the wildlife and where to find the animals, but also of the parks and Tanzania itself. He was kind, funny, polite and an excellent, safe driver. We felt completely comfortable with him and loved spending our days exploring together. Everything ran so smoothly, Ahmed was always on time, and the lunches were really good too. The little personalised touches made it feel like the safari was truly designed around us rather than just being a standard itinerary. We saw so many incredible animals and had experiences we will remember for the rest of our lives. Safari Avventura made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to Ahmed and the whole Safari Avventura team for giving us the most amazing safari and the perfect honeymoon. ❤️🦁🐘 We would 100% recommend Safari Avventura to anyone looking for a private, personalised safari in Tanzania!

Amazing holiday We are not used to write reviews, but this time we cannot refrain from posting one! The tour organized by Safari Avventura was great, Tanzania and national parks such as Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro are absolutely unique in the world, and don't need presentations. Still we want to highlight the outstanding services offered by Safari Avventura: everything worked out perfectly and smoothly, our driver was perfectly professional, effective and speaked a very good italian, Christian managed all conditions and drove us alwsys closest to wildlife. Even the smallest event was smoothed out, in continuous contact with headoffice till the last moment. We are very grateful to Safari Avventura for this amazing trip!

7 days safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater We had an amazing experience with Safari Avventura and would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Tanzania. We were four people and our itinerary included six days of safari, from August 21st to 26th, followed by a day dedicated to visiting the Hadzabe and Datoga communities. Safari Avventura assigned us Valerio as our guide and Vincent as our driver, and we honestly could not have asked for a better team. Vincent was a fantastic driver: always punctual, calm, careful and extremely professional. Some of the roads during the safari can be very challenging, but he always made us feel completely safe and relaxed, even in the most difficult situations. Valerio was an excellent guide: knowledgeable, attentive and always available to give us useful advice and explanations throughout the trip. He really helped us make the most of every day and was always willing to go the extra mile to give us the best possible experience. Thanks to Valerio and Vincent, during the safari we were able to see everything we could have hoped for, including the Big Five, an incredible variety of wildlife and even an unforgettable cheetah hunting scene. The visit to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities was another highlight of the trip. It felt incredibly authentic and far from a typical tourist experience. The time spent with the Hadzabe was particularly powerful: we had the opportunity to accompany them during a real hunting outing and experience, even for a short time, a glimpse of what their everyday life is actually like. It was a very intense and memorable experience. We were also very interested in visiting a Maasai community, although this was not originally included in the itinerary we had arranged with Safari Avventura. Valerio understood how much we wanted to experience it and managed to make it possible for us during the trip. We really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to do something extra to make our journey even more special. Beyond their professionalism, both Valerio and Vincent were kind, friendly and a real pleasure to spend so many days with. A huge thank you to Safari Avventura for organizing such a wonderful and varied experience, and especially for assigning us Valerio and Vincent. They truly made our trip to Tanzania special and unforgettable.

A wonderful adventure for our honeymoon! We chose Safari Avventura for a 12-day private tour in Tanzania, which included both Safari around the main parks and other activities such as visiting isolated tribes, exploring villages and trekking in nature. The trip was very well organised, and while planning it our preferences were taken into account as well as useful advice was provided. Due to a last-minute change to our flight, we landed at Kilimanjaro airport in advance and the agency was able to reschedule our pick up despite the short notice. The itinerary was very well planned in order to optimise time and transfers from one place to the other. All the lodges where we stayed were stunning and comfortable, with all amenities (hairdryer not often available though) and high hygiene standards. Staff was always very welcoming and kind, breakfast and dinner buffets were rich and delicious offering a wide range of local food. The cars we travelled with were comfortable, well maintained and cleaned daily. Water and soft drinks were provided by the agency daily. A special mentioning goes to the guides who accompanied us through this wonderful adventure. Clement is a very knowledgeable and funny guy. He speaks fluent Italian, English and French. With his accurate information on Tanzania’s wildlife, jokes and contagious laugh he entertained us during the many hours in the car. By sharing details of his personal life, he gave us an authentic picture of life in Tanzania. Timoth is a well experienced English speaking guide and driver, he is extremely professional. He drove us safely and as comfortably as possible on any kind of roads. When a minor issue occurred to our car, he quickly recognised and addressed it. Emmanuel is a very enthusiastic and kind guide and driver, he always welcomed us with a smile. He is knowledgeable and speaks good Italian, he drives very well and took great care of us. Time spent with him was very enjoyable. They all showed profound love of their country, its wildlife and nature, which they treat with great care and respect. On some of our daily adventures, additional local guides were present to show us their own territories and culture. They were all welcoming, professional and spoke English fluently. Thank you Safari Avventura for such a great adventure. We couldn’t have imagined anything more special for our honeymoon!

9 Unforgettable Days in the Heart of Tanzania The experience with Safari Avventura was amazing. We spent 9 unforgettable days on a very well-organised trip, combining 6 days of safari in Tarangire, Northern Serengeti, Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro with a wonderful visit to Lake Natron and a trek to some beautiful waterfalls. We also spent one day visiting two local tribes and learning about their traditions and way of life, and another day discovering rice cultivation, banana plantations and local food. A special thanks goes to our Italian-speaking guide, Clement, and our driver, Timoth. We truly felt at home with them. Clement is a wonderful person: very friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He speaks very good Italian and English and made every part of the safari interesting and enjoyable. Timoth was always extremely focused on driving and knew the roads perfectly. We always felt safe and comfortable with him, even during the longest and most challenging drives. Both of them took great care of us throughout the entire journey. We will really miss them and would highly recommend them to both Italian- and English-speaking travellers. Thank you, Safari Avventura, for making our honeymoon such a wonderful journey through Tanzania. We will never forget it. Hakuna Matata! Hakuna Matata!

Amazing Safari and Zanzibar Experience! We spent 4 days on safari in Tanzania: 1 day in Tarangire, 2 days in the Serengeti, and 1 day in Ngorongoro. It was a truly unforgettable experience, perfectly organized from start to finish. The lodges were excellent, comfortable, and well located. A special thanks to our guide Christian, who was fantastic: he spoke very good Italian, was always helpful and friendly, and was extremely knowledgeable. His experience and explanations made our safari enjoyable and interesting. The organization was excellent, from transfers to accommodation, and everything went smoothly. We then ended our trip with a stay in Zanzibar, where we stayed at another excellent property, perfect for relaxing after the safari adventure. A wonderful, exciting, and very well-organized trip that we would definitely recommend. A 5-star experience!
