Clothing recommendations:
Dressing in layers: temperature will vary considerably according to altitude and time of day. Dressing in layers works best to cope with temperature variations as you can quickly and easily add or remove layers as needed and stay comfortable. At lower altitudes and during the day it is normally warm but the temperature drops rapidly at night and can reach -20°C at altitude.
The layered system consists of:
- Base layer: thermal underwear
- Middle layer: a warm middle layer, consisting of fleece or similar materials
- Outer layer: waterproof and windproof breathable jacket and pants, Gore-Tex type or similar
- Extra warm layer: A down jacket for use at night is essential, and you could even wear it for morning trekking when it’s very cold.
Accessories: gloves, hats, balaclavas, etc. that you can put on and take off quickly to adjust the temperature.
PRICE INCLUDES:
- Transfers to/from the airport

They must be duffel bags or soft backpacks (rigid ones prohibited) with a capacity of 70 to 90 liters and a maximum weight of 15 kg. They will be placed in waterproof cases during the ascent.
Extra luggage not required during the ascent can be dropped off at our office in Arusha.
