Tour Description.

This private safari in Africa is designed for families with children and includes a 6-day tour of the beautiful northern parks, all of which can be reached by paved road and transfers no longer than two hours.

Fun activities are planned during safari days that both children and adults will enjoy. In addition, all facilities are ideal for families, and in Arusha in particular you will stay in a lodge with a large and well-equipped indoor playground for the whole family to enjoy.

After the safari, the vacation will continue on beautiful Zanzibar Island in child-friendly beach resorts, where you can relax and go on excursions all together.

Day 1
Arrive at the airport and transfer to the lodge with indoor playground in Arusha

Upon arrival at the Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our staff, who will take you to your lodge in Arusha.

If you have time, inclination and energy, you can take a tour of the town and markets in Arusha, accompanied by your guide. Alternatively, you can relax at the lodge while your children enjoy the lodge’swell-equipped indoorplayground.

In the lodge you will find various games for adults and children, swimming pool with water slides, equipped garden, inflatables, play room with supervising staff, etc.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lodge with indoor playground in Arusha.

Day 2
Arusha Park tour with nature walk

The second day will be devoted to visiting the enchanting Arusha National Park. This, in addition to being a scenic spot of great beauty, is a park where it is impossible to meet so many animals of different species, such as buffalo, giraffe, antelope, zebra and redunche. One of the special features is the presence of some rare mammals typical of Tanzanian fauna, such as crested porcupine, potamoceros, aardvarks, and black and white colobus.

During the visit, you will take a beautiful nature walk, accompanied by the Park Guardian, with the opportunity to see giraffes and other animals up close, truly a fascinating experience.

Day 3
Lake Manyara tour and bicycle ride in Mto Wa Mbu village

On the third day you will have a chance to explore Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s parks with the highest biodiversity, where you can observe more than 380 types of birds and a large number of animal species including elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many others.

Depart for the park early in the morning.

In the afternoon, you will take a bicycle trip accompanied by your guide to visit the bustling village of Mto wa mbu and the plantations here.

Transfer to Karatu and arrival at lodge by h. 18:00.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater and visit to Masai village

On the fourth day your family will travel to one of the most popular destinations for safari and animal enthusiasts, namely theNgorongoro Conservation Area. In particular you will visit the crater of the same name, a large caldera that represents one of the most beautiful natural wonders in all of Africa.

This place is home to as many as 30,000 large mammals, the sight of which will amaze children and adults alike. In this crater you can observe elephants, lions, rhinos, cheetahs, buffaloes and many different species of birds, such as eagles, ostriches and flamingos.

During the day, visit a Maasai Village within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a truly fascinating encounter.

In the afternoon transfer to Karatu and arrival at the lodge by h. 18:00.

Day 5
The Tarangire Park Tour

The early part of the fifth day will be devoted to visiting Tarangire National Park.

Among the park’s special features are the many majestic baobab trees, many of which are more than 2,000 years old.

Tarangire is predominantly characterized by savannah, where it is home to the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania. But along with these, it is possible to encounter many other animals, thanks to the surprising density of wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Day 6
Excursion to Moshi area, airport transfer and domestic flight to Zanzibar

The last day of the safari will also be well organized and, after breakfast, you will have a nice excursion to the Moshi area, with a walk to discover Materuni Falls, coffee plantations and Chaga Village.

Then, we will drive you back to the airport, to continue your journey to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival at the beautiful Zanzibar Island, you will be taken to your accommodation.

Day 7-11
Vacation in Zanzibar with family

In the beautiful scenery of Zanzibar, famous for its sunsets and sea, you will stay in a resort that directly overlooks a calm, crystal-clear blue sea. You can relax on the beach or by the pool, soak in the blue ocean water, and take excursions to explore this fascinating island.

Transfer to the airport is also included on the last day of your stay.

How much does a safari in Tanzania cost?

The price of a Tanzania safari can vary depending on the itinerary you choose. The costs of our Tanzania tours include many services. The only expense not included is that of air travel. The cost of a trip to Tanzania can range from 700 to 3000 euros depending on the days and the type of tour you want to take.

When to go to Tanzania?

What is the best time of year for a trip to Tanzania? Tanzania has a tropical climate. In the highlands, temperatures vary between 10 and 20°C during the cold and hot seasons, respectively. The hottest period is from November to February (25-31°C), while the coldest period occurs between May and August (15-20°C).

What to pack?

For a safari in Tanzania, it is advisable to carry both lighter clothes and a half-weight to be able to better cope with the large temperature range between day and night. You should also carry a backpack, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, binoculars, a hat and toiletries.

What are the vaccinations for Tanzania?

No mandatory vaccinations are required unless you are coming from a yellow fever transmission risk country or transiting through one before reaching Tanzania. If you are transiting or coming from countries where yellow fever is at risk of transmission then you will have to have the preventive yellow fever vaccine.

Do you need a visa for Tanzania?

Two documents are needed for a safari in Tanzania: a passport, which must have a residual validity of at least six months when entering the country, an entry visa for tourist travel, which costs 42.40 euros and is applied for before departure at the Tanzanian Embassy in Rome or the Honorary Consulate in Milan. Airports in Tanzania: which one to choose?

Tanzania's main airport is Julius Nyerere International Airport DAR in Dar Es Salaam near the center and ideal for visiting the parks of southern Tanzania. Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the most important for international traffic and ideal for visiting the parks of northern Tanzania. Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume, on the other hand, is only 5 km south of Zanzibar.

Tanzania currency: what is the exchange rate with the euro?

Tanzania's currency is the Tanzanian shilling. The local currency currently sees an exchange rate of 0.00035 euro for 1 shilling. It is advisable to always see the current exchange rate value before leaving.
