The Ngorongoro Crater, the area of greatest interest, is located at 2,200 meters above sea level, and is the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world, and one of Africa’s natural wonders with approximately 30,000 large mammals living here all year round, such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinoceroses, along with many bird varieties, such as flamingos, eagles, buzzards, ostriches and hawks.

The crater’s center is occupied by the shallow waters of Lake Magadi, which tends to dry up during the dry season, and is the best place from which to observe flocks of flamingos and crowned cranes, as well as several herbivores, especially the large number of wildebeests and zebras who drink here, attracting lions and hyenas.

DAY 4

The Serengeti is the oldest and largest park in Tanzania, covering an area of 14,763 square kilometres, so much so that its name, of Masai origin, Siringet, means “Plain without borders“.

Here you will find boundless plains, watch the great migration of herbivores, especially wildebeests and zebras, including prides of lions and other predators such as hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, jackals and crocodiles.

We set out for the park early in the morning and return to the tent camp by about 6 p.m.

DAY 5

Animals in the Serengeti park

The Fauna of Serengeti Park

We will continue our discovery of the extraordinary Serengeti National Park on the fifth day, moving towards the centre of the Park. The boundless prairies are occasionally interrupted by eccentric granite formations – kopjes, which often contain small pools of rainwater, attracting a variety of small animals, as well as large predators such as lions who enjoy lying in them or hiding in wait for a possible prey.

The rivers are lined with plenty of tracks where you can see crocodiles, hippos, and many other animals coming to drink. The area is also home to leopards, who often bask in the branches of the umbrella acacia.

We leave for the park early in the morning and return to the lodge at about 18:00.

Packed lunch will be served in the park.

Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge

DAY 6

Visit Lake Manyara National Park

The park is inhabited by over 380 types of birds and a large number of animal species, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs and many others.
